Winter of 1993. I don’t remember it, I had no need to, but it was special because The Creator gave us Sadie Reinhard, of Jackman Maine. In the outdoor world, she has a magic about her. In my world, it’s hard work, persistence, patience, natural ability, and a wonderful mindset. She puts the work in.
In 2023, Sadie shot a turkey, moose, bear, and deer to complete Maine’s Grand Slam. As if that wasn’t enough, she also took on the task of becoming a Maine guide. She studied a lot, worked hard, and you guessed it, passed her examination on September 12th for fishing, hunting, and recreation. On her own, she pulled the trigger on the turkey, shot the bear at her bait site, located and shot both the moose and big buck. She doesn’t need anyone.
This makes her third Maine Grand Slam in five years! The next time you see this humble, quiet woman, you don’t need to say ‘hi’, but you should tip your hat to her, especially if you’re part of the outdoor world. I know I have.
Congratulations, Sadie, on your hat trick...Lars

A word about Lars Anderson from Chris Dalti: Hal and I have had the distinct pleasure of chumming around with Lars for the better part of 30 + years. Never someone to stand out in a crowd, his reserved nature should not be underestimated. Some people have a lot of information but pick the right moment to enlighten the people around them. Lars has decades of experience tracking big mature whitetails and should be someone you are intently listening to when he chooses to share in those moments. He also is very astute at observing who is woods wise. He listens before he speaks. You will hear more from him in the coming months and probably years as we have finally convinced him to share some of his very detailed expertise while double teaming with us, some in articles he writes and with some video content with some of the young people he has chosen to mentor. We look forward to sharing our buddy Lars with anyone who wants to learn for his proven woodsman skills.
