Press Release - Big Woods is proud to announce our newest team member, Matt Breton. Matt will be the contributing author of our fitness program called "The Big Woods Fitness Series". Matt is a Physical Therapist, Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He is a CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a Physical Therapist and is a board certified specialist in orthopedics. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Matt is dedicated to helping outdoor enthusiasts address the physical performance side of their outdoor pursuits.
After serving in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Iraq, Matt returned to his home state of VT in 2007 where he now practices full time in a small physical therapy clinic. He spends as much time as he can across northern New England hunting and fishing through the fall, winter and spring and trains for running events through the summer months.
In the introductory article of the Big Woods Fitness series, Matt lays out what he sees as a few reasons why hunters should consider training for their next hunt. This series will focus on training to improve performance in the field and making overall physical fitness part of your outdoor lifestyle.
