Hi Folks,

Pro-staffer Kevin Harrison and I haven't had a free moment lately because we have so many oars in the water but I thought I would let you know what we have been up to. We have basically been straight out with 3 different but equally important projects.  As of last Friday I still had a turkey tag left. We had been using the early mornings to chase old Tom around. Generally our days started at 4:00am. Finally, last Friday I killed a big long beard. It has required patience and persistence experiencing quite a few close calls but we got the job done. Persistence and patience are 2 virtues Hal teaches in his second book that he feels are fundamentals for every hunter to possess. Both Kevin and I whole heartily agree. They are virtues that help you achieve the goals you set in hunting and in life. Once we get done chasing long beards we have a 2 hour drive to the logging site where we have been logging until the sun starts to tip down over the horizon. During the long ride home, it is on to our next and very exciting project of starting a fishing lure company. Much of the conversation on the ride home has been strategizing and working out details. Fortunately, Heidi has dinner ready for us when we arrive. At this time of each day most of our time is concentrated on our first line of fishing lures for our new company called The Libson Lure Company. After a quick shower it’s on to the lure making process coupled with more research and more experimenting with products some of which we can’t even pronounce. As many of you know, starting a new business, especially in this kind of an economy is a huge challenge. Kevin and I have experienced some late nights falling asleep while trying to work on the new but exciting venture.  As far as tom turkey goes, Heidi and Kevin are tagged out in Maine. As for me, I finally got the job done this morning and we got some excellent tape of the hunt to boot. Maybe some of you think I am sounding a little whiny through this whole note but I will have to admit to you, I really love what we are doing! It all goes back to what I explained to you in my bio, my life can best be described as merely an adventurer. Oh and by the way, stay tuned for more details and some clips of us fishing with our new lure inventions. I think you will be impressed.
