Hal Blood, President and Author
Master Guide Hal Blood is a special breed of deer hunter. He has the patience, persistence, and tenacity to find and track big bucks in all types of weather no matter where they roam. As a hunter and Master Maine Guide, Hal has taken more than one hundred mature white-tailed bucks. Hal started deer hunting with his Dad at age ten. He quickly got the fever and became addicted to chasing deer around the Maine woods. After a four year stint in the Marine Corps and ten years of being a lobsterman, Hal decided to turn his passion for hunting into his profession. He and his wife Debbie moved to Jackman, in the northwest mountains of Maine and built a sporting resort. Cedar Ridge Outfitters has become well known for its outstanding service, food, and quality hunting and fishing guides. After some coaxing from his friends and clients, Hal decided to share his years of knowledge about how to hunt bucks in the big woods. His book, Hunting Big Woods Bucks, was such a success that more and more hunters wanted to learn from Hal in person. This led to his offering deer hunting clinics at his lodge as well as doing sporting show seminars and other speaking engagements. With help from his long time friend Chris, they started a video production company with the idea of making DVD’S that would teach hunters as well as entertain them. With all of this Hal, has given novice hunters as well as seasoned veterans a new look at hunting and taking bucks in the big woods by challenging the animals one on one. Hal’s wife of thirty years, Deb, who has taken her share of whitetails, has been his biggest fan and supporter over all these years so Hal hopes to be able to find time for them to hunt together. Hal also has a son, Gary, age twenty three, who is in the army reserves and currently serving in Kuwait. Gary had a wish to hunt with his Dad in Ontario when he returns. This is a wish that Hal will be honored to grant.

Chris Dalti, CEO
Chris Dalti is the CEO Big Woods Bucks. Chris has loved to hunt since he was a young boy. He has grown up in a family of deer hunters enjoying "The Hunt" with his Dad, Uncle Joe, his cousins and friends. Chris met Hal in 1990 at a sportsmen's show and was Hal's first guided client. Over the years, Chris has become one of Hal's closest friends. He's had the privilege of hunting with Hal and has become a student of Hal's woodsman and tracking skills. Hal has taught him to appreciate what nature has to offer. Both Hal and Chris thought it would be fun to build a business together. Chris has a strong background in business management and finance. He has helped Hal steer Cedar Ridge Outfitters (Hal's guide and lodging business in Jackman, Me) into a thriving and very successful business. Chris realized there was a need to share Hal's superb woodsman and tracking skills with hunter's around the country so he agreed to develop a company with Hal that would help people hone the core skills needed to successfully and consistently kill game animals anywhere. Chris believes that hunters are looking for a combination of education and entertainment. He is committed to producing DVD's and products that will highlight Hal's uncanny abilities with the intent of sharing what he has had the privilege of experiencing firsthand. Chris makes his home in RI with his wife Deb and his son Samuel. He can't wait to share what he has learned with his son and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Rob Wing, Producer and Cameraman
Rob Wing is one of the producers and lead cameraman for Big Woods Bucks. Although Rob started hunting later in life, his passion for the sport fueled his desire to find a way to make a career out of it. Rob craved more time to spend in the outdoors and thought it wasn’t enough to hunt for a couple of weeks a year. He decided to purchase a professional quality camera and hone his skills at the art of being a videographer.
A few years ago Rob bought Hal’s first book and was so intrigued with what he read, he realized it built a dream for him that motivated him to learn more about Big Woods Bucks and the plans they had for the future. After speaking with Hal and Chris on several occasions, Rob decided to raise enough courage to ask if they would consider adding another camera to the field with the hopes he could provide more of the authentic quality footage Big Woods Bucks had produced over the last several years. Chris spoke to Hal about adding Rob to the staff and both agreed his desire alone would be enough to give him a chance. As Chris puts it, “he was hungry for it and that is an incredibly important characteristic I look for when considering that kind of business move. We welcome his enthusiasm and firmly believe his efforts will help us meet the goals we have set for Big Woods Bucks.”
The rest is history. The trio hit it off from the get go. Although Rob has already experienced the successes and perils associated with electronics and the outdoor elements, the physical demands of hard core hunting and the long hours in the edit suite and time away from home, his fervor to bring you the viewer along on the hunts of the Big Woods Bucks experts is larger than ever. Rob is dedicated to document the events through the eyes and ears of his video camera and share them with you.
Rob resides in Raymond, Me with his wife Pam and his two sons, Andrew and Alex. Rob and his wife are also therapeutic foster parents and enjoy helping not so fortunate children bring love and happiness in their lives. Rob would like to thank his wife and two sons for time needed to allow him to fulfill his passion for the outdoors and hunting.
